Galatians 6:3

October 10, 2011

“For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”

This verse is in a section of the Bible in which Paul talks about restoration of the brethren.  There are many in the world today who think they are invincible to the wiles of the devil.  Oh, how these men and women are confused.  They walk around with their head held high and this false sense of security and protection from the devil.  Often enough there is already sin in the camp which they are choosing to overlook.  It is imperative to not look down on brethren who fall into a certain camp of sin. It is just as easy for us to mess up and fall only to be lifted up by Jesus.  What brings one to compromise, may not make another compromise…the devil knows our weaknesses and will continue to attack them until we give in or, better yet; the attacks will continue to come until Satan discovers that weakness has been fortified and is not susceptible to such attacks.  This fortifying in our lives can be done through the use of an accountability partner or just reading your Bible daily and praying when we find ourselves coming under such attacks.
In applying this I will continue to pray for God to strengthen the weaker parts of the walls in my life.
